WHAT MODEL IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Because the science behind each grip is the same, you really can’t go wrong. And because different golfers have different preferences, L.A.B offer multiple models with varying shapes, sizes, and weights.
PRESS PISTOL 2 DEGREE
We’ve gotten to the point where we can try new things, and a traditional pistol shape was the first on our list. So if you like a traditional pistol grip, you’re going to love Press Pistol 2 Degree.
Created For: DF 2.1, MEZZ.1 MAX, MEZZ.1
Tilt: 2 degrees
Length: 10 inches
Weight: 58 grams
Diameter: 1.26 inches (top), 0.72 inches (bottom)
Construction: EVA Foam Underlisting, Synthetic PU Outer
PRESS II 1.5
The Press II 1.5 uses a minimally tapered, smaller barrel shape with a 1-inch flat side down the center to make hand position easy and repeatable. The Press II 1.5 is also perfect for non-L.A.B. putters, although we’re not sure why you wouldn’t want to be using a putter that swings square all by itself. Just saying…
Created For: MEZZ.1 MAX, MEZZ.1, B.2
Length: 10.5 inches
Weight: 64 grams
Diameter: 1.4 inches (top), 1.2 inches (bottom)
Construction: EVA Foam Underlisting, Synthetic PU Outer
PRESS II 3º
The Press II 3 (formerly the 2.M) was created for golfers who prefer a flat front on their putter grip to aid consistent hand position. Its minimally tapered, medium barrel shape promotes stability and the use of the larger muscles for more consistent performance. Its lighter weight also makes it easier to feel the movement of the putter head during the stroke.
Created For: DF 2.1, MEZZ.1 MAX, MEZZ.1
Tilt: 3 degrees
Length: 10.5 inches
Weight: 78 grams
Diameter: 1.5 inches (top), 1.3 inches (bottom)
Construction: EVA Foam Underlisting, Synthetic PU Outer
PRESS 1.L
The Press 1.L is a fresh take on the OG Press Grip with a lighter weight construction that makes it easier to feel the movement of the putter head during the stroke. It uses an elliptical, minimally tapered shape to help golfers get their hands in a directly opposing position and bring harmony to their stroke.
Created For: DF 2.1, MEZZ.1 MAX, MEZZ.1
Tilt: 3 degrees
Length: 10.5 inches
Weight: 70 grams
Diameter: 1.7 inches (top), 1.6 inches (bottom)
Construction: EVA Foam Underlisting, Synthetic PU Outer
HOW IT WORKS
Press Grips achieve what we call an “ Integrated Forward Press” through their design. Unlike other putter grips, which generally see the shaft travel through the center of their axis, Press Grips are installed through the grip’s elliptical shape, which is off-axis by either 1.5 degrees, 2 degrees, or 3 degrees depending on the model.
We recommend that golfers use 2-degee and 3-degree Press Grip models with our DF 2.1 putter. With our MEZZ.1 and MEZZ.1 MAX putters, golfers will be happy with either a 1.5-degree or 2-degree Press Grip for a neutral hand position, or a 3-degree Press Grip if they like a little more shaft lean.
