Knowing when it is time to upgrade your golf equipment can be difficult. Many golfers keep playing with the same clubs year after year without considering how they actually affect their game.
But even small changes in your swing or in the condition of the clubs can make a big difference to your results.
In our latest video we go through what to look for when you are thinking about changing clubs – and why it is not about always playing the newest model, but about playing something that suits you.
There are a few clear signals that show it might be time to review your equipment:
Physical damage or wear on the clubhead or face
Unusual ball flight or results that do not match your swing
One or more clubs that no longer feel as stable as before
These signs can mean that the equipment is no longer performing as it should – or that your swing has changed over time.
We recommend reviewing your clubs every two to three years. This does not necessarily mean buying new ones, but making sure the clubs still match your playing style and swing.
A professional fitting can often tell you whether small adjustments are enough or if it is time to replace something in the bag.
