How the Mizuno ST driver hosel works

Here we want to show you how easily you can set up your Mizuno ST driver for you and your swing.

In many cases it is said that the shaft of the club is the engine itself, and the most important component regarding how you hit your driver. Admittedly, there is truth in that, but it's the best combination of shaft and head, and the head adjustments

which can really make you hit your best drives. One should not underestimate the possibilities of adjusting loft / life on the driver, to achieve the best results.

Below we show the adjustments for Mizuno's new ST driver series, and what differences they make.

The following changes can be made via Mizuno Hosel

•  Loft
•  Lie
•  Face Angle

The picture below shows how the hosel works on a Mizuno ST-Z driver with a 9.5 degree head.

For example, if we want to gain little more spin and anti-slice - We can set up the club to HIGHER - Then we open up the loft, which means that we close the clubhead and the ball will tend to go a little higher, and a little more to the left.

If we want the opposite effect, we can set it down to LOWER - Then we re-loft, but open up the clubhead a little more which gives us a lower ball flight with a fade tendency.

If we instead want to keep the loft, to maintain height and spin, then we can change to UPRIGHT, then we open up the club head a bit which can help to hit a little straighter strokes, if you have a tendency to hook the ball.

Then there are several different settings in between, if you do not want quite that high adjustments.

Note that the picture below shows the differences on the ST-Z model in a 9.5 degree head.

If we were to take the ST-X model, it would look a little different in terms of degrees, but the principle is the same.
