MAX MOI. MAX STABILITY. MAX SPEED. A low profile, wide footprint driver that looks noticeably larger than its measured 460cc. An expanded CORTECH Chamber and 54 grams of back weighting combine to create Mizuno’s most stable ever driver, with exceptional straight-line performance across its wide, inviting clubface. The ST MAX 230 driver unveils two new engineering enhancements to ensure that stability is backed with impressive ball speeds – a next generation CORTECH Chamber and new Bet rich LFS Ti clubface. Delivering an impressive ball flight that stays on whatever line you set it.
“The goal of the ST-MAX project was to engineer the greatest MOI and performance from off centre strikes conceivable – but not sacrifice ball speed or make the profile too cumbersome to look at.” CHRIS VOSHALL / MIZUNO GOLF
MAX Stability: Wide profile, massive 54g back weighting and 40% larger graphite composite for extreme twist resistance to off centre strikes and a straight, predictable ball flight.
Expanded CORTECH CHAMBER: A dense stainless steel weight with elastomeric TPU – taking stress from the clubface and creating an additional energy source. Lengthened in the ST MAX and shifted closer to the clubface to maintain ball speeds across a wider portion of the clubface.
New Beta Rich Ti LFS: A new lighter, faster face material – measuring 9% higher in tensile strength (compared to SAT2041) for a complex multi-thickness face geometry. First introduced on Mizuno’s 2024 Tour driver the ST-G 440cc.
About the Mizuno ST-MAX SERIES
The ST MAX driver, fairway wood and hybrid are the new ultra-stable members of an ST-230 series - which put Mizuno firmly back in the metalwood conversation in 2023. A jump in ball speed from Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber saw Keith Mitchell and his ST-Z lead the 2023 PGA Tour season Total Driving Statistic through the Fed Ex playoffs. Mizuno’s next generation of talent, including Bailey Tardy (ST-Z / LPGA rookie) and Marco Penge (ST-X /Challenge Tour winner) also impressed with their ST-230 series drivers. Now, the ST-MAX 230 driver, fairway and hybrid pack all that performance into an ultra-stable, large footprint profiles that will feel like you’re swinging on tracks. Engineered to deliver predictable straight flights, over and over from the widest range of off centre strikes.
“Everything in the ST MAX engineering is dedicated to producing a straight ball flight, with minimal speed drop offs across the face. One of the regular comments we heard in tour testing was that the heads felt like they were on tracks.”
